The charitable giving arm of (NYSE: MI) is donating a total of $75,000 to strengthen organizations that provide foreclosurs counselingand first-time homebuyer education. Urban Economic Development Associatiob (UEDA) of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, to suppory UEDA’s work to convene housing-related organizationas to best serve those in need of foreclosurewprevention resources; Fair Housintg Council, Milwaukee, to support the Fair Housingh Council’s foreclosure prevention community Housing Resources, Milwaukee, to support education programmint for first-time homebuyers; United Communitg Center, Milwaukee, to support the first-time home buyers education program; Selectg Milwaukee, Milwaukee, to supporg foreclosure prevention programming; and Career Youth Milwaukee, to support first-time home buyers program.
Milwaukee-based M&oI Marshall & Ilsley Bank is also providinghomeownet assistance, through a progranm announced Dec. 18, 2008, that includes a foreclosured moratorium that is in placw throughJune 30. M&I’s Homeowner Assistancse Program also features streamlined assistance program s for potentially distressed homeowners who are identified in advancer and proactivelyoffered assistance.
