GM (NYSE: GM) owes the West Chester-based steelmakerf (NYSE: AKS) roughly $9.1 millioj in trade debt, according to a list of GM’s 50 larges t unsecured creditors that was included with its initiapl bankruptcy courtfilings Monday. AK Steel Holdin g was listed asthe company’sz 33rd largest unsecured creditor. • , with $22.8i billion in bond debt; • The Internationa l Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers ofAmerica — or with $20.6 billion in employee obligations; and • , with $4.4 billionh in bond debt.
The top 50 creditorw have morethan $50 billion in Also as a part of its bankruptcy GM submitted a list of plantes it will close or idle. GM’s loca l operations were not onthe list. Ltd., a diesek engine producer that is a joint venturee between GM and IsuzuMotors Ltd., is expected to keep its Morainde plant open. The plant stopped productioj May 18 forseven weeks. GM also operatees a parts and service facility in West Chester that was not on theclosurer list.
Three Ohio facilities were on thelist including: a servicw and parts distribution center in Columbus closing at the end of this a powertrain plant outside of Cleveland closing in December 2010 and a meta stamping plant in Mansfield set to closw in June 2010.
